Five Formats. Different Agricultural Applications.
BAOM’s agricultural biofilm range includes five formats developed from a common biofilm material. Each format is designed around a specific use, from protecting young plant growth to supporting planting and seed germination.
Biofilm Sheets
The original BAOM biofilm format. This is the foundational material from which the other agricultural biofilm formats are developed.
Grafting Biofilm
Designed for use in the same way as conventional grafting films, helping keep the material around young plant growth as it develops and is planted into the soil.
Ground Cover
Designed for placement around the base of trees or across the soil surface to suppress weed growth. It can be used around individual plants or as general ground sheeting.
Infused Biofilms
Biofilms saturated with a growth-enhancing substance. The infused material may use a liquid or powder formulation and can be applied as a wrap around roots or laid down as sheeting.
Planter Bags
Biofilm formed into bags for root systems. These are designed to be planted directly into the ground, with other bag formats modelled on the same concept.
Seed Sheets
Biofilm sheets containing embedded seeds. When watered, the seeds are intended to sprout from the sheet.
Our Purpose
Rethinking Materials. Building a More Sustainable Future.
BAOM Eco Solutions is exploring new possibilities in material innovation through nature-based alternatives to conventional plastics. We are developing cellulose-based materials and biofilm formats designed to serve different applications, including agriculture.
Our work is guided by a simple idea: the materials we use today should not limit the possibilities of tomorrow. Through research, product development, and collaboration, we aim to contribute to a more sustainable materials economy.
